The Olde Marco Island Inn and Suites is located near the Marco River, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico at the top of Marco Island, not far from Naples. The original Inn was built in 1883 by Captain Bill Collier and now houses the lobby and restaurant, both filled with 19th-century period pieces. Two newer five-story buildings accommodate guests. The hotel grounds feature lovely gardens, which have been celebrated for their adherence to the use of native flora.
The resort offers sailing trips (weather permitting) on a 38-foot catamaran housed at a marina on the nearby Isles of Capri. The three-hour tour takes guests to nearby isolated island with a quiet sandy beach. Travelers can watch for dolphins and manatees in the water, search for shells on the beach, and swim in the warm Gulf waters. The resort also features a restaurant, recently divided to provide two distinct dining experiences. A second, separately owned and regionally-renowned seafood restaurant is also available on the grounds. Covered parking, pool towels, local calls, and the sailing trip are included in a daily resort fee.

The resort has 51 spacious, non-smoking suites in two five-story buildings with exterior corridors and an elevator. Guestrooms are painted in bright Caribbean-inspired colors, offer water or garden views, and all have large, screened lanais as well as kitchenettes. Suites also provide queen sofa beds in separate living areas. The one-bedroom suites have one bathroom, two TVs with cable, and some have VCRs. Two-bedroom suites have two bathrooms, three TVs with cable, and may include VCRs. Suites with garden views overlook the resort’s landscaped grounds or courtyard.
